Jasco
offers a dedicated system for SFE and SFC applications based upon the
modular LC-2000 series of HPLC instrumentation. Jasco offers PU-2080-CO2
delivery pump for SFE and SFC procedures using carbon dioxide as the
mobile phase. They have PU-2080-81 automatic back pressure regular to
maintain the pressure of the mobile phase above its critical value.
Examples
of applications include SFE/SFC analysis of components in natural products
such as foods, oils, medicine and rubber, it can also be used in palm
oil and petroleum industry.
Many useful
hydrocarbon groups found in crude oil can be separated or extracted
rapidly using SFE/SFC. Utilizing SFE/semiprep SFC also enables faster
fractionation of these hydrocarbons than is possible with conventional
HPLC. SFE/SFC is an environmentally friendly method which greatly reduce
dependence on organic solvents.
