Jasco’s Circular Dichroism spectrophotometers (Model J-815)

The J-815 is the latest introduction to the long line of Circular Dichroism instrumentation from Jasco. Unparalleled optical performance and optionally available measurement modes are combined in a manner to make the J-815 true "chirooptical spectroscopy workbench".

Circular Dichroism, often abbreviated to "CD", is displayed when an optically active substance absorbs left or right handed circularly polarized light preferentially.

The difference in left and right handed absorbance A(l)- A(r) is often very small hence the J-810 provides a CD resolution of 0.0005 millidegrees when set to read at ±10 millidegrees. CD signal varies with wavelength and our current model J-810 CD spectrometer is capable of measuring over a wavelength range of 900 nm to 163 nm.
